ช้อนโต๊ะ...รู้จักจริงหรือ

เวลาหมอหรือเภสัชกรสั่งยาก็จะบอกว่าให้รับประทานเท่านั้นเท่านี้ช้อนโต๊ะ ทำให้นึกสงสัยอยู่เรื่อยว่าช้อนโต๊ะของท่านกับช้อนโต๊ะของหมอเป็นช้อนขนาดเดียวกันหรือเปล่านะ?

ช้อนโต๊ะของหมอนั้นคือช้อนขนาดที่เราใช้ตักซุป และคนไทยมักใช้เป็นช้อนกลางสำหรับตักแกงหรืออาหารที่เป็นน้ำ ส่วนช้อนที่รับประทานอาหารร่วมกับส้อม นั่นคือช้อนหวาน ดังนั้นช้อนโต๊ะจะมีขนาด ๑๕ ลูกบาศก์เซนติเมตร ช้อนหวานมีขนาดราว ๘ ลูกบาศก์เซนติเมตร และช้อนชามีขนาด ๔ ลูกบาศก์เซนติเมตร

เมื่อได้รับคำสั่งให้รับประทานยา ๑ ช้อนโต๊ะ คนไข้หลายคนจึงมักเข้าใจผิดว่าคือช้อนหวานที่ใช้รับประทานอาหารคู่กับส้อม ทำให้ได้รับยาเพียงครึ่งขนานเท่านั้น วิธีที่ง่ายก็คือรับประทานยาด้วยช้อนหวานที่รับประทานอาหารก็ได้ แต่ต้องเป็น ๒ ช้อน ก็จะได้รับยาเท่ากับ ๑ ช้อนโต๊ะเหมือนกันครับ

แต่ถ้าจะให้แน่ใจก็ควรใช้ช้อนตวงยาโดยเฉพาะ เพราะจะมีมาตรที่บอกไว้เสร็จสรรพ สนนราคาก็ไม่เท่าไหร่เลย
