แมงมุมตีอก...โชคลางหรือธรรมชาติ

ท่านเคยได้ยินเรื่องแมงมุมตีอกไหมครับ แมงมุมที่บางครั้งเกาะหรือเดินอยู่ตามฝาผนังบ้านเรา บางครั้งเกิดอะไรขึ้นมาก็ไม่รู้ ตีอกเข้ากับผนังผึงๆ คนโบราณบอกว่าเกิดเหตุแบบนั้นเมื่อใดก็จะมีเหตุร้ายเกิดขึ้นในบ้าน หรือกับคนในบ้านนั้น อาจจะถึงกับเสียชีวิต แมงมุมตีอกก็เลยกลายเป็นลางร้ายที่หลายคนกลัวมาก
แต่ความจริงแล้วไม่ใช่ลางร้ายอะไรเลยครับ แมงมุมที่ตีหน้าอกตัวเองกับกำแพงหรือผนังเพื่อให้เกิดเสียงดังนั้น เป็นพฤติกรรมธรรมชาติในการข่มขวัญศัตรูหรือภัยคุกคาม เพราะแมงมุมเป็นสัตว์ขนาดเล็ก ส่วนใหญ่ไม่มีอาวุธอะไรที่จะไปต่อสู้ (ยกเว้นแมงมุมบางชนิดที่มีพิษร้ายแรง) เมื่อเห็นสิ่งแปลกปลอมเยี่ยมกรายเข้ามา ก็จะเอาตัวเองกระแทกกับฝาไม้ เพื่อให้เกิดเสียงดังข่มขวัญศัตรู ศัตรูจะได้ลังเลและไม่เข้ามาทำร้าย
อาการตีอกจึงเป็นเพียงสัญชาตญาณของแมงมุม ซึ่งเป็นสัตว์โลกชนิดหนึ่งที่รักชีวิตของตนเหมือนกับมนุษย์เท่านั้นเอง |
